Mid-Century Wall Art, Vintage Signed Acrylic Drip Painting
This is a vintage acrylic painting from the 1960s. It is signed, but I have not been able to identify the artist.
It uses classic mid-century colors to depict a boat near a dock and boathouse with a tree and other vegetation in the foreground. This piece employs a popular style called "drip art", where excess acrylic paint creates a 3 dimensional effect in some areas.
The colorful sky and water reflection all come together to evoke a peaceful water scene with a cool mid-century vibe. Photographs cannot do justice to the depth of color in this piece. It needs to be seen to be appreciated.
The piece is nicely framed and measures 52 x 28 inches.
