Mid-century Barware Culver Decanter 22K Gold Cranberry Scroll

Culver Ltd. was founded in Brooklyn, NY in 1939. Back in the day, Culver glasses were known to be lavish and full of style with their 22K gold accents. From the 1950s through the 1960s Culver gained fame and their products became collectible, being sold only at high end stores. Culver was sold in 1996. Sixty years later, they remain lavish and full of style.
 
This piece is the very hard to find decanter with ground glass stopper in the pattern Culver called “Cranberry Scroll”.  It features 22K gold filigree in an ornate design that is slightly reminiscent of architecture. The center ovals are filled with the deep color of cranberry. If you have some Culver Cranberry Scroll glasses, which are a slightly easier to find, this decanter makes a beautiful set.
 
This piece measures 10 ¾ inches tall with a maximum width of 4 ½ inches. As always with Culver, it is thick as has a good weight to it.
 
This decanter is in excellent vintage condition. The gold filigree is solid and shiny and the cranberry color is rich and deep. There is practically no wear on any on it. There is no haze or water residue to the glass. I find no chips, cracks or nicks to the glass.  It is a beauty.
 
It is a gorgeous piece of mid-century Culver barware.
